From January 19th 2013 bike testing becomes even more complicated, if you pass your test on a 125 after that date you will be restricted to a 125 machine until you take training and test on a larger one. Direct access will only be able to be taken by over 24 year olds (21 after taking the new A2 test and having two years experience)and also will be on 595cc machines or over. In order to to beat the rush contact us NOW if you want to beat the new EC regulations, if you leave it until the Autumn, it may be too late!

The following provides you with an outline of the minor changes DSA intends to introduce to module one with effect from 16 May 2011.

Ask for recommendations, price, availability, quality of training

Just a quick note to all potential customers. When you are enquiring over your options eg, prices and availability, remember to think about the following.

Can you fit the program of training to suit your needs?

If someone is quoting long waiting lists, ask a second opinion.

Ask your friends for recommendations, not just one, ask a few!

Cheap isn’t necessarily the best.

Be very wary of the selling of intensive courses if your experience is limited, it could cost you twice as much as it needs to.

Ask about the backup facility if you should have bike problems.

We are bikers for bikers, we are not interested in selling quantity, just quality, be assured, we will look after you.

Know your traffic signs booklet available

The Department for Transport’s ‘Know your traffic signs’ booklet is now available on Directgov. You can go to an individual section for images and information on traffic signs, signals and road markings. Or, you can download the booklet in full, free of charge.
Why know your traffic signs?
Traffic signs play a vital role in directing, informing and controlling road users’ behavior in an effort to make the roads as safe as possible for everyone. This makes a knowledge of traffic signs essential. Not just for new drivers or riders needing to pass their theory test, but for all road users, including experienced professional drivers.
Keeping up to date
We live in times of change. Society, technology and the economy all play their part in changing the way we travel. New road signs conveying new messages and in new formats are introduced from time to time, so drivers or riders who passed their driving test a few years ago need to keep up to date or run the risk of failing to understand or comply with recently introduced signs.
Having experience is all very well, but it’s not enough if your knowledge is out of date.

We are becoming increasingly alarmed at the fees some of you are being quoted for retesting. If you have failed Module 1 or 2, we are not looking at you as a cash machine! Many think they will have to go through a full training course again, this should not be the case particularly if you have done a full course somewhere else, give us a call and discuss with us, we most probably can and will be able to help you.
